Hi, I’m Bev. I am a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Kentucky in Clinical Social Work and a Licensed Master’s Level Social Worker. My practice is dedicated to working with children, adolescents, and families, with a focus on trauma, family dynamics, PTSD, grief, and general mental health.
I have extensive experience supporting young clients through racialized trauma and its impact on development, as well as helping families foster healing and resilience. My approach is strengths-based and collaborative, guiding children and families toward SMART goals that promote emotional well-being and empowerment.
As part of my doctoral research, I developed Socio-Motivational Systems Theory, a groundbreaking framework designed specifically to address the needs of children experiencing racialized trauma. This innovative approach integrates trauma-informed care with motivational and social systems to create more effective, personalized healing strategies.
My mission is to ensure that every child and family I work with has the tools, support, and strategies to thrive.
