Hi, I’m Dr. Bev. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Social Work from the University of Kentucky and am a Licensed Master’s Level Social Worker. My practice is dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and families, with a specialized focus on trauma, family dynamics, PTSD, grief, and general mental health.
I bring extensive experience in guiding young clients through the complex impacts of racialized trauma on development. My work also supports families in fostering healing, resilience, and emotional growth. I take a strengths-based, collaborative approach, working closely with clients to achieve SMART goals that promote empowerment and lasting well-being.
As part of my doctoral research, I developed Socio-Motivational Systems Theory—a pioneering framework designed to meet the unique needs of children experiencing racialized trauma. This approach blends trauma-informed care with motivational and social systems theory to provide effective, personalized healing strategies.
